Nico
Your favorite Spongebob character is Sandy Cheeks. You also have the best taste in waifus.
First Date:
Nico has repainted her van to resemble the Mystery Mobile from Scooby Doo and picks you up so she can take you to her place. Since she is only permitted to live in Nero's garage, this is where the two of you will be staying. Nico lights her blunt and you both get high. Smoking weed on top of inhaling paint fumes from the work bench has left you disoriented.
Nico pulls out a large bean bag chair for you to rest in while she fiddles around with her Shrek CRT and her Mickey Mouse DVD player. She pops in a disc of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and presses play. You glance towards your right to see that this woman has copies of Initial D which explains her driving skills. You look at her longingly and say "I love you Nicorette" and begin to play tonsil hockey.

❄️Sugar Rush❄️
*Fluffcember day 9*
@fluff-cember
🍟This is an ATHF short story/drabble🥤
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The pair spent the morning preparing a cake for their child. On the one hand, he didn't deserve it. Somehow he managed to sneak out and brought a random cat back home. Now they are the proud owner of some random cat, that they have no ability to take care of. On the other hand, they needed something to do, and baking a cake seemed like the correct choice.
They decided to take a gamble and make a sugar-free cake. Might it not be as good as a cake with sugar with it? Yes, that was a very high possibility, but they didn't want to risk their kid getting a sugar rush. That wouldn't help anyone.
Shake was instructed to watch over the cake and make sure it doesn't burn. A simple task, that he would somehow find a way to fuck up. It was basically his talent. Provide him with an easy task and he'll proceed to do it wrong.
Luckily for the trio, he didn't fuck it up. Thus were able to enjoy the cake with mixed feelings. Some thought it was fine without sugar. Others hated it.
I haven’t watched a LOOOT of ATHF (I think I’ve watched at least one or two episodes a few years back? But I didn’t really understand the show’s sense of humor) but based off of what I’ve observed of your postings of Master Shake he’s like if you put a wine mom into the vessel of a stoner college drop out. And if anything, that’s an admirable way of living.
— @troublesocks
the first bit is so fair, Adult Swim almost didn't pick up the show because, quote "they didn't understand that they hang out, and stuff just happens." SO I GET IT
secondly, YEAH. yeah. shake can be very very dramatic in the way you might imagine a wine mom, though he actually never drinks wine in the show. in canon hes a crazy light-weight (literally got incoherent after one drinke) and when he is shown drinking its typically anything cheap, ill buy him some wine and we'll have dinner <3
"stoner college drop out" is the perfect way to describe him you understand the vision, Shake is the type of guy to make some crazy good brownies . my little chef!
also its a funny comparison because when Adult Swim was first made a lot of people perceived as a channel to watch shows while high, for those who watch vinny vine.sauce, in a recent stream he said his memories of ATHF are so foggy because he was always high while watching so YEAH ^___^
I should go back to watching the Batman cartoon, but I'm still dealing with shit, so I'll probably get high and watch Sealab 2021 once I'm done with ATHF.
Maybe I just don't wanna see bad things happen to Alfred.
EVEN MORE ATHF HEADCANONS + SLUDGE LORE
(CW: Mentions of cannibalism.)
(Mostly baby-related hcs this time because cuteness...although some of them are actually very disturbing as well)
1. On the same subject as the whole “Frylock not being able to levitate until he was 2 years old or so” headcanon, another headcanon of mine that’s connected to that, is that for the first few years of his life he had very little control of his laser eyes, so sometimes he would accidentally zap things...or people. Sometimes he’d even manage to zap himself and wind up full of static electricity, which would make various things stick to him...among other side effects. He was especially prone to having these uncontrolled laser bursts if he was startled or scared, or otherwise upset.
And unfortunately, when he was a baby, a LOT of things scared him. Like, you’d never guess from how he is as an adult, but he was afraid of a ridiculous amount of things when he was really little (he doesn’t even remember any of this time period ironically).
The scientist who created him (who isn’t Dr. Weird [although he was heavily involved as well] as I came up with my own backstory for the trio that I honestly like more than the official one...if you’ve read my fanfictions on AO3 you can get a little bit of an idea of said backstory. The show doesn’t have much in the way of continuity so anything goes, really) literally couldn’t leave the room without Fry FREAKING THE FUCK OUT. New people scared him. Loud noises scared him. His own shadow. The stapler (for some reason). Coffee mugs. Fucking PIGEONS. All of these things (and more) were things he was absolutely terrified of...which meant they were to be avoided lest someone or something get hit with a blast of eyeball lasers.
To be fair, the world is a big, scary place when you’re the same size as an actual McDonald’s kids meal serving of French Fries.
2. Shake, on the other hand, was definitely not a skittish baby. On the contrary, he was fearless to the point of it being dangerous...to be fair, from what little I know about infants, most of them have little to no fear of things that can actually hurt them...I think? Again, I don’t know much about infants. Anyway, he was basically borderline FERAL as a baby. Destructive, temperamental, he even sometimes HISSED at people if he was sufficiently pissed off.
This, combined with his rather gluttonous appetite at that age, led to some rather awful incidents...and by that, well...
He was one of a group of beverage-based creatures (so is Sludge, let’s just stick her in this because why not), mostly based on milkshakes of various flavors. He was actually the first one made after Sludge (who came out defective...she was supposed to be a Slushy but something went wrong), so in essence the ones made afterwards were his younger siblings....
Yeah, he ate two of them. When he was less than a year old, HE ATE TWO OF HIS SIBLINGS.
The rest of them, sans Sludge, are all dead now due to unrelated backstory stuff that I will eventually explain. But, yeah, Shake literally had to be taught not to try and cannibalize his brothers and sisters. Is this extremely disturbing? Yes. But in the show, Shake has been depicted on multiple instances EATING HUMAN FLESH and apparently liking the taste. So eating other milkshake-monstrosities doesn’t seem too far from possible with him.
Lastly:
3. BABBY SOUNDS
Before he was able to talk, Frylock made similar sounding vocalizations to those of a kitten. Meeps, chirps, high-pitched mewling...like, if you need a specific example, watch the original “Hi Herbert” video. That’s what he sounded like as a lil tiny baby. He also sometimes sounded like an angry desert rain frog.
Shake, meanwhile, made horrifying noises. Screeching. Hissing. Snarling.
And Meatwad? Honestly, with him, I have no idea. I don’t have a lot of Meatwad headcanons honestly.
The Aqua Teen Hunger Force #55: “Carl” | October 24, 2004 - 12:00 AM | S04E13 AKA “Spacegate World”
Our long national nightmare of Spacecataz is over. And now we get this: an episode in which Carl petsits Meatwad’s dolls (by setting them on fire and freaking WHIZZING on them), sexually harasses women in his high school year book, and then gets slaughtered by stuff in the Aqua Teens’ home after breaking and entering. He broke and entered the domicile and was compromised to a permanent end.
I like this one a lot, and it feels like a minor classic to me. Carl-heavy episodes are always welcome. They are usually darker than most episodes; he’s detestable character who does detestable things but he is genuinely pathetic and (Ricky Gervais voice) he’s huuuurting.* and it speaks to the human condition in that there’s a remarkable amount of human trash out there leading miserable lives they don’t necessarily deserve but can’t fix. WE ARE ALL CARL.
The Aqua Teens aren’t much better than Carl; Shake is cruel to a homely woman who is compulsively eating ribs (I AM HER TOO). Frylock is trying to mack on a woman in a steel neckbrace who gets obliterated by Frylock’s security robot. The only good guy in this is Meatwad, who vandalizes Carls’ house, which is a good thing because that is how my antifa brethren behave so I support it.
*INSIDE JOKE HUMORLESSLY EXPLAINED! When The Office aired on Adult Swim, they included new introductions from Ricky Gervais that me and my friends found endlessly hilarious because they shot these cheeky promos where he’s doing his cheeky beaky shtick, and then you actually watch the intros and they are these dour little self-serious monologues about how much David Brent is “huuuurting”, as though he’s trying to retcon The Office as a Greek tragedy.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force Halloween Marathon with Angus Scrimm
On Halloween night, ATHF got a nice little 3 hour marathon hosted with bumpers by Angus Scrimm. I believe I recorded this using some convoluted method involving a faulty DVD-RAM disc (an extremely niche format that I embraced for various reasons but wasn’t super compatible with other machines), so the recording didn’t survive. Not sure if a full recording exists elsewhere. But If I recall correctly, there were unique introductions for each episode. Here’s a promo!
What do you think of Birdgirl?
Not only have I never seen Birdgirl but I’ve also never seen a Birdman episode with her in it. I remember a gross live-action promo where it’s a fake lawyer advertisement but it’s for the Birdman show and the guy is like “SEXY BIRDGIRL” and I think they showed some clips of her being wacky and it immediately flashed back to a bad drawing a guy on a message board made of a sexy redheaded girl but she had robot arms and legs and she was holding a sign that said “PORK”. Like it’s this weird pathetic fantasy that dorks have that “what if hot women were... Pythonesque? (raises eyebrow)”
Horatio Sanz also used the "I'm a scamp" excuse when he preyed on a teen. Thankfully despite his deep comedic bonafides (SNL, Big Lake, Boat Trip) he's never disgraced the Adult Swim stage except for an appearance on Adam Scott's awful Greatest Event in Television History shorts. Hopefully you will be doing those. They really feel like the death knell of the UCB era of comedy. Even has "The comedian's friend" Jon Hamm in them. Yucko!
Louie Anderson got #hetoo’d (that’s when a guy gets groped) and he was like “oh I was a big flirt” and then he morphed into a bowl of blueberries and never came back. Also, those Greatest Event in Television History things sucked, I agree.
movies, actors/actresses, and fanfic au settings (coffeeshop, cyberpunk, that kind of stuff) for the top 5 thing?
Oh for pizza sake I didn’t expect anyone to pay attention to me. (Thanks Spooky Butt!)
Movies: Kind of a hard one cause I don’t usually watch movies tbh. So I’m gonna curve you a bit and do animation only (Kill Bill is probably my favorite real people movie. Or maybe Girl, Interrupted. I’m more of a Stand Up Comedy guy).
1. ATHF Movie2. Lilo and Stitch3. Emperors New Groove4. Moana5. Tom and Jerry Movie
Actors/Actresses: Again, I don’t watch a lot of movies (or TV I guess. More of a voice over guy lmao) but here’s who i’ve enjoyed in the past in no particular order I guess,
1. Clea Duvall2. Natasha Lyonne3. Lucy Liu4. Morgan Freeman5. Chris Pratt
AU Settings:
1. ngl I love the college/school setting. The high school one can be fun but… I get a little weird when the romance happens just because I’m old and it’s weird cause they’re kids.2. Coffeeshop/Bartender. I actually explored this one with a charlynch one shot and I kinda want to return to it I think3. Superheroes! Who doesn’t love a big tough superhero.4. Famous musician turned humble cause of love at first sight. Sure, it’s more of a trope than a setting but idc I do what I want.5. Fuckin’ murder mysteries. Man. I’m a sucker for that detective shit.
Bashingtons New Years Eve (December 31, 2003 - 11:00 PM)
NOTE: The above video’s quality is awful, and I’m sorry. For some reason the better-quality version wouldn’t embed!
Now here’s a real event! Arguably capping off the end of an era (though I kinda see the final episode of Space Ghost Coast to Coast as being the true end of the classic [adult swim] era’s end) comes the New Years Eve party, aka The Bashingtons New Years Eve. Here a bunch of Adult Swim stars (including Moses, from the DVD commercial) congregate at Brak’s house to celebrate the new year. Characters from different shows all interact with one another and talk about getting sexual and stuff. Meatwad, Brak and Dolphin Boy all hang out upstairs to watch Don Kennedy drive a boat around and show cool rock and roll clips. It’s all pretty special. The night went like this:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force #41: "The Cloning"
Aqua Teen Hunger Force #42: "The Last One"
Sealab 2021 #31: "Frozen Dinner"
The Brak Show #28: "Cardburkey"
Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law #15: "Blackwatch Plaid"
But by all indication the night was supposed to run like this:
Aqua Teen Hunger Force #41: "The Cloning"
Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law #15: "Blackwatch Plaid"
Sealab 2021 #31: "Frozen Dinner"
The Brak Show #28: "Cardburkey"
Aqua Teen Hunger Force #42: "The Last One"
(note: this was followed by the Y2K episode of Family Guy, the Futurama pilot and the Venture Bros. pilot according to swimpedia)
The reason for the mix-up? Not sure! But the bumpers have a pretty clear continuity and they announce the wrong shows a couple times. My guess is that they just thought “The Last One” might get lost int he shuffle, or that there was some contractual thing stating that ATHF or Birdman had to debut in a particular calendar year so they couldn’t air before/after midnight, whatever the case may be. Maybe they just fucked up and played the wrong thing by mistake. Actually, that’s likely. But let the record show that the first line-up is accurate.
Anyway, if you click on the episode titles you’ll see I gave air times that reflect the shows not actually airing at their usual on-the-quarter-hour schedule. That’s because the Bashingtons segments actually add up to the length of a 12-or-so minute long [adult swim] show, so everything kinda played a couple minutes late. To compensate for this, [adult swim] scheduled something called “Special Presentation“ for a 15 minute timeslot at midnight. I actually did some filthy, dirty math to approximate when stuff probably aired, timing out the schedule with bumper and episode runtimes and how long your average commercial break would be. I hope I didn’t fuck it up too bad. I might’ve. Well, I’m not going to check or change it.
These are notable for revealing the ultimate fate of The Brak Show (cancelled), and for featuring George Lowe playing himself promoting his book Boned by the Master, which is one of my favorite jokes. It’s just a really good title for a book, is all. I hope someday he really does write Boned by the Master. I would buy it.
For the record I didn't hate the Sonic Guys because my dad and I thought they were gay. I just though they were sublimely annoying. Also Sonics food is terrible. I prefer Popeyes as far as fast food goes. Here's my haul from last week: crispy tender chicken made to order, mashed potatos, and a crunchy fluffy biscut. Piled high with gravy and all the other good stuff. Try it if you are every in the Louisiana area!
I got noose for you pal, Popeyes Chicken is available all across our great country (the United Skates of America in case you didn’t know). And I agree with you, their food is heavenly. Sonic’s “gotta go fast” ethos may be a charmer for those we Pop-heads call “pig-mouthed” but it is not for me. Popeyes may not suck your dick with each meal like Sonic does, but at least you will drive away feeling nourished.
